My name is Christian Montoro. Before I started training to be a designer I worked in construction, served in restaurants, and made fancy coffee drinks. I traveled. I got lost. I made some mistakes. These experiences taught me more about design than achieving a perfect rag or letter-spacing. Letter-spacing is the easy part. Big ideas are not so easy. I’m in this profession because I love to communicate ideas. My ideal working environment is surrounded by other ambitious, excitable people who like to brainstorm and make things happen. Maybe you know of a place like this or have a project in mind. Let’s talk.

Designer Statement

Christian explores the integration of digital and physical processes for visual communication. He is interested in pushing ideas beyond conventional applications, often utilizing technology along with hand-crafted elements. His latest projects draw upon the study of color and light, influenced through a printmaking process of silk screen and risograph.
